Scavenger Hunt

 오늘의 말씀

 

에베소서 2:1-10 (쉬운성경, NASB)

 

1. 불순종과 죄로 인하여 여러분은 영적으로 죽은 사람들이었습니다.

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,

 

2. 세상 사람들과 똑같이 살며, 땅 위의 권세 잡은 악한 세력에 순종하였습니다. 이 악한 영은 지금도 하나님을 대항하는 자들의 마음속에서 활동하고 있습니다. 

in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

 

3. 우리 모두 저들과 똑같이 죄된 본성을 좇아 행하고, 육체와 마음이 원하는 대로 온갖 일을 저질렀습니다. 우리가 하나님의 분노를 사는 것은 당연한 결과입니다. 왜냐하면 그렇게 살아왔기 때문입니다. 

 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

 

4. 그러나 하나님은 자비로우시고 우리를 너무나 사랑하셔서, 그냥 내버려 두지 않으셨습니다. 

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 

 

5. 하나님의 뜻을 따르지 않아 영적으로 죽은 우리들에게, 그리스도를 통하여 새 생명을 주신 것입니다. 여러분은 하나님의 은혜로 구원을 받았습니다. 

 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grece you have been saved),

 

6. 하나님은 우리를 그리스도와 함께 살리시고, 하늘 위에 있는 그분의 보좌 곁에 우리를 그리스도와 함께 앉혀 주셨습니다. 

 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

 

7. 또한 앞으로 오는 모든 세대에게 하나님의 은혜가 얼마나 크고 놀라운지를 보여 주시려고, 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 우리 모두에게 그의 자비를 나타내셨습니다. 

 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

 

8. 여러분은 하나님의 은혜 안에서 믿음으로 구원을 받았습니다. 여러분 스스로는 자신을 구원할 수 없습니다. 구원은 하나님의 선물입니다. 

 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

 

9. 또한 착한 행동으로 구원받는 것이 아니므로 아무도 자랑할 수 없습니다. 

 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

 

10. 우리를 창조하신 분은 하나님이십니다. 그리스도 예수 안에서 우리를 새 사람으로 변화시켜 착한 일을 하게 하신 분도 하나님이십니다. 하나님께서는 우리 안에 이미 오래 전부터 선한 일을 계획해 놓으셨습니다. 우리의 삶이 선하게 되도록 그렇게 계획해 놓으셨습니다. 

 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

 

 

  SCAVENGER HUNTS ARE A BLAST! You start with a clue that leads you to an object and another clue, which leads you to another object and another clue, until you reach the final object and clue, which typically leads you home. Some scavenger hunts cover the country, some a certain part of town, and some might simply lead you from one part of your house to another. According to Ephesians 2:10, God has created a sort of scavenger hunt for us. Now, God's scavenger hunt isn't the wild-goose-chase variety, and it isn't merely for our entertainment. This verse tells us He has prepared "in advance" good works for us to do. And, in fact, this is one reason He created us! What would happen if, every day, we got out of bed and asked God, "What good works do You have for me to do today? I know I was made for this, so just point me in the right direction." How different our perspective would be! Experts tell us we usually find what we're looking for in various situations. If we began each day looking for the good God has for us to do, I have no doubt He will answer that prayer in ways "immeasurably more . . . than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us" (Eph. 3:20).
