"Faith Walking"

Scripture Text: "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Luke 10:19 (KJV)

In this "post-Christian" secular society, we live in, we are finding more and more people who have forgotten God and His plan for our lives. That connection many of us once had with God has been tampered with by the world, and undermined by Satan himself, and they only offer empty promises: there is nothing substantial - nothing of sustenance that can give us any kind of lasting life.

In contrast, what was it that Jesus did when He was here on Earth? He healed the sick and He raised the dead - and what did He say in John 14:12? He said that you and I would do even greater works than what He did. So what happened? What have we done with the Promises of God and the Promises of Jesus?

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."  John 14:12 (KJV)

Listen my friend... Divine healing "belongs" to us today because God The Father never changes. Divine healing "belongs" to us today because Jesus The Son never changes. Divine healing "belongs" to us today because Jesus prayed to the father and asked Him to send to us the Holy Spirit whose purpose is to walk along side us and give us what we need.

Let me tell you my friend... Healing is an established fact in Heaven and was completed on the cross of Calvary. Healing is the ministry of every believer - through the Divine Work of The Finger of God which is The Holy Spirit, and where we have gone wrong is that - that side of our "faith-trust" (our spiritual brain) is retarded; and quickly let me just say that retardation is not something that is "bad" as that term has gotten such a bad rap all of these years... it merely means that there is a part of the brain that is not functioning properly. We have the same thing going on concerning the "faith-trust" (the side of our spiritual brain), and we need to learn to take hold of the anointing power of God (Mark 16:17-18).

"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

When Jesus was here on this Earth, He healed every disease and sickness... and friend, He still heals today! Look at Isaiah 53:5 which is speaking of Jesus coming to die for us - YEARS IN ADVANCE OF HIS COMING TO THIS EARTH. It says there in Isaiah 53:5,

“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” 

The other day I was sitting in the car in a Walmart parking lot - Osella was in getting a few groceries. This little gal came out - her little spine all twisted and as she walked she had to literally throw one foot in front of the other. Her head bobbed profusely back and forth as she walked and she was pushing a cart full of groceries on top of that. My spirit was stirred as I watched her out of the corner of my eye - so determined to LIVE and to HAVE LIFE IN ABUNDANCE - and the POWER OF HER DESIRE TO OVERCOME caused me to weep. And Oh I began praying. I said,

"Father you said if we had the faith of a mustard seed - we could move a mountain out of the way and this dear lady is living her life as though she had no problems whatsoever. Father, If I looked like that... If I had to walk like that... I don't know that I could do it. Oh Father heal this dear lady and set her free from this crippling malady that has so bound her."

All of a sudden I was checked in my spirit as I sensed the Hand of God on her life and heard Him say,

"She is walking in the faith of her healing. She is living her life believing she is healed. She is Faith Walking"

It was almost as though he was saying, "I got this Wayne"... but your prayer has been heard, and I'm on it."

What made this balancing act of this dear soul even more amazing was that she got in her car and drove away... literally drove away, in a straighter line and more conscientious of the things going on around her in that busy parking lot than most people.

Oh Friend, Jesus still heals today! HALLELUJAH! We may think that we need Him to do it to the extent that we believe He should, or that he should have made that little gal who was only in her 30's I would guess - "CHANGE" into some beauty queen and become perfect in every way... but we don't know but that she got up out of a wheel chair and "this to her" is that beautiful thriving young lady that you and I think we should see. I know that was what God was seeing in her.

Friend, what will you allow God to do in your life today? What are you struggling with today; in what way are you hurting? Whatever stage of life you are in today - BELIEVE GOD! Believe Him for That Mighty Wonder-working POWER to save, heal and DELIVER through the power of Jesus Christ - and start Faith-Walking!

Let's pray:

Father God we come to you this Monday Morning with all of the possibilities of a new week to serve you. Father how we praise you today that you are ALIVE - no matter what the world says, and that you are still working in our lives - that your greatest desire is to work in our lives. Help us to see all of the possibilities this week brings to serve you and to better ourselves, building up our "faith-trust" by reading Your WORD and "Walking in our faith". We give you GLORY today for every step we take in you. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
