WHAT'S THE
DIFFERENCE?
Just as Christ was raised from the
dead . . . we too may
live a new life (Rom. 6:4 NIV).
Is becoming a Christian
simply a matter of turning over a new leaf? Or is there really a difference in
your life when you become a Christian?
A young and committed
Communist was debating a young and enthusiastic Christian in Hyde Park,
The Christian responded,
"That may be, but Christ will put a new man in the suit."
It isn't enough to improve
the educational level, or the social standing, or even the financial position of
an individual. There must be a basic change in his moral character. Jesus did
not come to earth to live among men, to suffer and die, so that we could enjoy a
higher standard of living. He came that we might rise to walk on a new plane of
life altogether.
Life response: I will seek to live a "resurrected life," not just a "reformed life."
