Jesus declared, “Go now and leave
your life of sin.” —John 8:11
HONESTY
I once read an article
which stated that more than half of all married men have cheated on their wives.
The article also said that more than half of all students surveyed had cheated
on exams, and that more than half of all employees occasionally steal from their
company.
Someone has said
“Forbidden fruit is responsible for many a bad jam.” Do you know the meaning of
that statement? Something that looks good at first but is wrong to do will
always come back to haunt us in the long run. A moment’s thrill can easily
become a lifetime’s pain, not just for us, but for the ones we
love.
If you are currently
tasting some forbidden fruit, I have a good word for you: Stop, drop, and roll.
Stop doing what you know to be wrong. Drop your plans to continue doing it. And
roll those energies into the things and people that produce health and peace in
your life
Live
It!
While reading today’s encouraging word, did you think of something you are doing that should be stopped? Stop it today.
