God will always come to our rescue

오늘의 묵상 (창9:8~16)

 

 

8. 하나님께서 노아와 그의 아들들에게 말씀하셨습니다.

 

9. "이제 내가 너희와 너희의 뒤를 이을 너희의 자손과

 

10. 배에서 나와서 너희와 함께 사는 모든 동물, 곧 새와 가축과 들짐승과 땅 위의 모든 생물들과

 

11. 너희에게 언약을 세우리니, 다시는 홍수로 모든 생물들을 없애 버리지 않을 것이며, 홍수로 땅을 멸망시키는 일을 없을 것이다."

 

12. 하나님께서 말씀하셨습니다. "내가 너희와 함께 사는 모든 생물과 너희 사이에 대대로 세울 언약의 표는 이러하다.

 

13. 내가 구름 사이에 내 무지개를 두었으니, 그것이 나와 땅 사이의 언약의 표이다.

 

14. 내가 땅에 구름을 보내 구름 사이에 무지개가 나타나면,

 

15. 나는 너희와 모든 생물 사이에 세운 나의 언약을 기억할 것이다. 다시는 홍수로 땅의 모든 생물을 멸망시키는 일을 없을 것이다.

 

16. 구름 사이에 무지개가 나타나면, 내가 그것을 보고 나 하나님과 땅 위의 모든 육체를 가진 생물들 사이에 세운 언약을 기억할 것이다."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

GOD WILL ALWAYS COME TO OUR RESCUE

 

 

I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants. (Gen. 9:9)

 

    

WHEN MY NEPHEW WAS LITTLE, he was a climber. He had absolutely no fear of heights. He was climbing out of his crib before his first birthday. It would not have surprised us to find him on the roof if he could have found a way up. Of course, he sometimes took a tumble from his adventures and ended up with bumps and bruises.

    

One day I was walking down the hall at my parents' home, and I heard his little voice coming from the bathroom. He was very calmly saying, “Help. Somebody help me.” I opened the door, and there he sat—in the sink. He had climbed into the sink and couldn't find a way down.

    

Rather than panic, he patiently waited for help. He knew people were around who loved him, and he trusted us to come to his rescue.

    

God is always there to help us when we get in over our heads. No matter what situation we get ourselves into, God will come to our rescue. He is never too busy to hear our call for help. He has promised to love us and care for us, and we can count on His promises forever.
