오늘의 묵상 (시145:1~7)

 

 

1. 왕이신 나의 하나님, 내가 주를 높입니다. 내가 주의 이름을 영원히 찬송할 것입니다.

 

2. 내가 매일 주를 찬양하며, 영원히 주의 이름을 찬송할 것입니다.

 

3. 여호와는 위대하시며, 높이 찬양을 받으실 만한 분이십니다. 아무도 주의 위대하심을 헤아릴 수 없습니다.

 

4. 대대로 주가 하신 일들을 매우 칭찬할 것입니다. 그들은 주의 위대하신 일들에 대해 이야기할 것입니다.

 

5. 그들은 주의 위엄 있고 영광스러운 찬란함에 대해 말할 것입니다. 나는 주의 놀라운 일들을 깊이 생각할 것입니다.

 

6. 그들은 주의 놀랍고 신기한 일들에 대해 말할 것입니다. 나는 주의 놀라운 일들을 깊이 생각할 것입니다.

 

7. 그들은 주의 풍성한 은혜를 기념하여 축하할 것입니다. 기쁨으로 주의 의로우심에 대해 노래할 것입니다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

RAISE YOUR HANDS

 

 

They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. (Ps. 145:7)

 

The lights dimmed, and our youth minister started a film clip of the Passion Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia. on a stage lit with hundreds of glowing candles stood a young man with a guitar. The focus for me, however, was not the musician at center stage but the audience surrounding the stage-more than twenty-two thousand high school seniors and college students, all with their hands raised in praise.

 

The Passion conferences draw huge crowds, both here and abroad. While undoubtedly some students come just to hear the music or to be with their friends, stories of attendees' sacrifice to pay for others to go testify to the reason most are there-to praise God.

 

Psalm 145 is the last of the Davidic psalms and the only one to be called a praise psalm in the superscription. In it, David extols God's many virtues, His greatness and righteousness, His mercy, compassion, and love. But one verse in particular caught my eye: “One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.” How often do our young people hear us praising God and telling of His mighty acts in our lives? While attending a conference is fine, shouldn't they hear us praising God every day?

 

Of course, they should. Let's praise God!
