Party time in heaven

 

오늘의 묵상 (눅15:3~10)

 

 

3. 그러자 예수님께서 그들에게 비유를 말씀하셨습니다.

 

4. “너희 중에 어느 사람이 양 백 마리가 있는데 그 가운데 한 마리를 잃었다고 하자. 그러면 그는 아흔아홉 마리의 양을 들판에 남겨 두고 잃은 양을 찾을 때까지 찾아다닐 것이 아니냐?

 

5. 그리고 양을 찾으면 양을 어깨에 메고 기뻐할 것이다.

 

6. 집으로 돌아오는 길에 친구들과 이웃을 불러 말할 것이다. ‘함께 기뻐하자. 잃었던 양을 찾았다.’

 

7. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 하늘에서는 회개할 필요 없는 아흔아홉 명의 의인보다 회개하는 죄인 한 명을 두고 더 기뻐할 것이다.”

 

8. “어떤 여자가 열 개의 드라크마를 가지고 있다가 하나를 잃어버렸다고 하자. 그러면 등불을 켜고 온 집안을 쓸며 찾을 때까지 자세히 뒤지지 않겠느냐?

 

9. 그러다 찾으면 친구들과 이웃들을 불러 말할 것이다. ‘나와 함께 기뻐하자. 잃었던 드라크마를 찾았다.’

 

10. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 이처럼 회개하는 죄인 한 사람을 두고 하나님의 천사들이 크게 기뻐할 것이다.”

 

 

 

 

 

PARTY TIME IN HEAVEN

 

 

There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. (Luke 15:10)

 

IN A RECENT Sunday evening church service, twelve-year-old Emily was baptized. It was a time of rejoicing for her family and friends. As her shining face reflecting God's glory emerged from the water, those present enjoyed a festive occasion shared by the angels in heaven. With her whole life before her, Emily can reach her full potential for God.

 

Rebecca had it all until her life fell apart. After losing her top-paying job and her husband, she learned she had breast cancer. Practically overnight she went from wealthy to homeless. When her plight became known in the Christian community, a family took her in and led her to the Lord. Although Rebecca would soon lose her life to cancer, the angels had reason to party because another soul was born into God's kingdom.

 

Jailhouse conversions are often motivated by a desire to escape punishment, but Jason took his religion with him to the outside world when released from prison. He married his live-in girlfriend, got baptized, and gave his testimony at church. As part of a newly formed congregation, he hopes to start a youth ministry. With every forward step he takes, the angels throw a party.

 

The story of every conversion is different, but all end with the rejoicing of holy angels.

Rejoice when a sinner repents.

 

한 사람의 영혼이 회개할 때에 하늘에 있는 천사들도 기뻐한다고 했습니다. 하나님이야 말 할 필요가 있겠습니까? 하나님 이 땅에 남겨진 사명중에 한 가지는 많은 영혼들에게 복음을 전하는 것입니다. 오늘도 주님을 알지 못해서 죽어가는 많은 영혼들이 있으며, 예수님을 믿어도 구원의 확신도 없이 살아가는 많은 그리스도인들이 있으며, 성경에서 말하고자 하는 진정한 계시의 정신을 알지 못해서 방황하는 많은 영혼들이 있습니다. 이것을 보고 언제까지 방관자처럼 지낼수가 있겠습니까! 복음과 삶을 통해서 바른 복음이 전달되도록 인도하시고 많은 영혼들이 생명안에서 참 안식을 누리는 그리고 거룩한 삶을 살아가는 그 날이 속히 오도록 주님 인도하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘
