God is the Ultimate Inspector

 오늘의 말씀

 

시편 139:1-6 (쉬운성경, NASB)

 

1. 여호와여, 주께서 지금까지 나를 살피폈으니 주는 나를 알고 계십니다.

O LORD, You have searched me and known me.

 

2. 주는 내가 언제 앉고, 언제 일어서는지를 알고 계십니다. 주는 멀리서도 나의 생각들을 아십니다. 

You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar.

 

3. 주는 내가 나가고 눕는 것을 아십니다. 주는 나의 모든 길에 대해 잘 알고 계십니다. 

 You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.     

 

4. 내가 무슨 말을 하려는지, 여호와여, 주는 그것을 다 알고 계십니다. 

 Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, You know it all.

 

5. 주는 앞뒤로 나를 둘러싸고 계십니다. 주는 주의 손으로 나를 붙잡고 계십니다. 

 You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.

 

6. 이것을 안다는 것은 내게 너무도 엄청난 일입니다. 그런 지식은 내가 알기에는 너무도 깊고 오묘합니다. 

 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot attain to it.

 

 

YEARS AGO, MY HUSBAND AND I decided to sell the house I had inherited. I had painted every wall, swept every floor, and washed every window in that old familiar place. Yet, until the inspector came, I hadn't realized the siding had begun to rot or that the mortar on the bricks was crumbling or that the spare bedroom heater didn't work. The house kept its secrets hidden. The inspector searched that house and knew it better than I did, though I'd lived there for years. You think you know yourself. You've lived with yourself your whole life, exploring your soul and living within your body. But Someone knows you even better than you know yourself. God inspects every nuance in your soul. He is not afraid to peer into the cellar of your heart. He knows your broken places. Only He can repair the crumbling parts you've never noticed and those gaping holes you've ignored. He knows us and loves us from top to bottom, inside and out. We have no secrets from Him, the Healer and Lover of our souls. once you grasp how deep and wide God's love stretches, you can rest. Invite God to repair your heart. And then, exult in His love. No one knows you better and no one loves you more than God.
