Good Directions

 

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. —Psalm 32:8

 

Contrary to the modern axiom, you can get there from here. The Christian journey may be curvy and even bumpy, but it has a certain destination. Out of the riches of His grace, God has chosen to be your travel guide through life. With His Son to protect you and His Spirit to guide you, you are certain of having good directions. And He is the best traveling companionship imaginable. Your life will be filled with intersections, but God has promised to be your “global positioning system.” Through His Word and through His inner directions, He’ll not only get you where you need to go down here but will also help you arrive up there—your final destination in heaven.

 

Lord, with you as my traveling companion, I am excited about making the journey ahead. Most of all, I’m thankful for the final destination that You have prepared for me—a home in heaven, where I will be with You forever. Amen.
