Natural Joy

 

“I have told you this so that . . . your joy may be complete.”  —John 15:11

 

Joy isn’t something you have to fake. It flows naturally from your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s as natural as breathing. Knowing that your past is forgiven and that your future is sealed by the promises of God, your spirit willingly rejoices, even amid the worst of times. Let your joy flow. Continually think about the forgiveness that He gave you and about the acceptance that you have with Him. Think about the hope that is already yours and about the eternity that you will spend with Him. Let the joy of the Lord flow through your spirit; let it be seen on your face; let it be heard in your words.

 

Lord Jesus, thank You for filling my heart with natural joy. Help me to focus on what is already mine because of You. Amen.
