GOD ROCKS!
From you comes the theme of my praise . . . dominion belongs to the Lord. (Psalm 22:25, 28)
David understood rejection. He was well acquainted with suffering caused by the vicious attacks of his enemies. David also knew God was his deliverer, even when he felt God wasn't listening. Psalm 22 has several similarities to Christ's circumstances at the crucifixion. Verse 1, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me,” was Jesus' cry from the cross (Matthew 27:46). Verses 16?18 show a great likeness to Christ on the cross. No other psalm is quoted as often as this one.
I have to confess that I have cried out to God with similar prayers: “God, where are you?” We all experience hard times.
David addressed God as his Lord, Strength, Deliverer, and Rescuer. God was his Rock. David was down, but he was wise enough to look up. He knew there was only one place to find help. God became the theme of David's praise: “The Lord rescues, The Lord delivers” sung to the accompaniment of harp and cymbals. Be a part of the nations who will bow down before Him.

Give praise to God for His mercy because He always hears our cries.
