2. 여러분은 서로 다른 사람의 짐을 들어 주십시오. 그것이 그리스도의 법을 이루는 길입니다. 

"Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. 

 

9. 선한 일을 하다가 낙심하지 말아야 합니다. 때가 이르면, 영원한 생명을 거둘 것이므로 포기하지 말아야 합니다. 

"Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. 

 

10. 기회가 닿는 대로 모든 사람에게 선한 일을 해야 합니다. 특히 믿음의 가정에 그렇게 해야 합니다. 

 "So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.   

 

 

 

WE MET onE EVENING to plan five ministries that the women in the church would carry out. one ministry would be to women who are single, divorced, or widowed. Others would aim to teach homemaking skills or plan special events. Six of us huddled together to plan compassionate care for women. We focused on Jesus' words in Matthew 25:40, "Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me." Donita likes to visit in the local hospital. Joy often stays at home and babysits her two little great-grandsons. She is a great cook and takes meals to others. Sue and her husband find opportunities to do yard work or run errands for those who need help. Angie shared ideas for outings for senior citizens in our congregation, and I am a volunteer coordinator in the nursing home. We each have our niche for compassionate care. Opportunities are all around us for compassion. one lady turns down offers of help but seems to enjoy visiting for a few minutes when we deliver meals on wheels to her mother. Another asked for prayers for herself one night at prayer meeting, and I prayed aloud for her. With tear-filled eyes, she said, "I've never heard anybody pray for me before." There are many ways to be compassionate. Which way suits you?
