Under God's Wing

 오늘의 말씀

 

시편 36:7-12 (쉬운성경, NASB)

 

7. 하나님이여, 주의 변함없는 사랑이 얼마나 값진 것인지요! 높은 사람이나 낮은 사람이나 모두가 주님의 날게 그늘 밑을 그들의 피난처로 삼습니다.

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

 

8. 주님의 집에서 그들이 마음껏 먹습니다. 주님은 기쁨의 강에서 물을 길어 사람들에게 마시게 하십니다. 

They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; And You give them to drink of the river of Your delights.

 

9. 주님께 생명의 샘이 있습니다. 주님의 빛을 통하여 우리가 빛을 볼 수 있습니다. 

 For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see ligth.     

 

10. 주님을 사랑하는 사람들을 끊임없이 사랑해 주시고 마음이 올바름 사람들에게 주의 의를 베포소서. 

 O continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.

 

11. 거만한 자가 내게 발길질하지 못하게 하시며, 악한 자가 손으로 나를 밀어 내지 못하게 하소서. 

 Let not the foot of pride come upon me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

 

12. 악한 자들이 쓰러져 다시는 일어나지 못할 것입니다. 

 There the doers of iniquity have fallen; They have been thrust down and cannot rise.

 

 

 

 A TORNADO RIPPED THROUGH my parents' property, uprooting an orchard of apple trees and dropping some of them a quarter of a mile away. Fierce winds picked up a neighbor's garage, shattering it in the center of the orchard. It looked like a bomb had gone off. My brother and his wife had just walked through that area a couple of minutes earlier. They recall hearing a freight-train sound of the wind, moments after they got inside their home. As they prayed, waiting for the storm to pass, their fears dissipated as the Lord filled their hearts with peace. Afterward, when they surveyed the damage to the orchard they realized how God had truly covered them. In 2007, a friend was on the I-35 bridge that collapsed in Minneapolis. She told me how scary and surreal the whole thing was. Just before she would have been swept away in the Mississippi River, a pole fell on her car keeping it stable and immovable. She sensed God's presence. We live in perilous times. The only place we find comfort and safety is close to the Lord, where we can cleave to Him. He hides us in the shadow of His wing. Psalm 91 reminds us not to live in fear as Christians. God constantly guides us until it's time for us to go home to be with Him.
