베드로전서 1:13-16 (쉬운성경, NASB)

 

13.  그러므로 여러분은 마음을 가다듬고 자신을 잘 지키십시오. 예수 그리스도께서 다시 오실 그 날에 여러분이 받게 될 은혜의 선물에 모든 소망을 두시기 바랍니다.

Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

 

14. 전에는 몰라서 하고 싶은 대로 악한 일을 저질렀지만, 이제는 하나님께 순종하는 자녀로서 예전처럼 살아서는 안되는 것입니다. 

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance,

 

15. 여러분을 불러 주신 하나님께서 거룩하신 것처럼 여러분도 모든 행동에 거룩한 사람이 되십시오. 

but like the Holy one who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior;     

 

16. 성경에도 "내가 거룩하니 너희도 거룩하도록 하여라"하고 말씀하셨습니다. 

 because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."

 

 

 

 I AM A DIE-HARD football fan. Well, that's not exactly true. I'm a die-hard Bulldawgs fan, our local high school team. I haven't a clue about any other team. Every Friday night in the fall, my family and I watch the award-winning Bulldawgs compete. I am often amazed as those young men line up, ready for the next play. Their eyes aren't on the goal post or the quarterback or the other team's players. Instead, each and every head is turned toward the coach. Not a single player moves until the coach gives the nod. Then the play begins, each player doing his job, each player carrying out his role in the game, just as he's been instructed to do. If all goes well, the play results in a touchdown. Friends, we are players in this game called life, and God is our coach. He knows the game better than anyone, and we must be prepared to follow His directions. In all things, we must look to Him, wait for His instructions and listen to His commands. We must stay ready to act, ready, yet self-controlled as we wait for God to lead. Then, when He gives the nod, we must be diligent to follow out our orders, doing our parts as we work together, in obedience, toward the goal of becoming like Christ.
