WHICH WAY?

 

WHICH WAY?

 

‘. . . broad is the road that leads to destruction . . . narrow the road that leads to life . . .’ (Matt. 7:13-14 NIV).

 

There is an interesting incident in the story Alice in Wonderland. Alice comes to the cat and asks, "Can you tell me which way I should go?"

 

The cat says, "That depends on where you wish to go."

 

"Oh," Alice comments. "It doesn't matter where I go."

 

"Well then, neither does it matter which way you take," replies the cat.

 

Alice then says, "Oh, but I do want to get somewhere."

 

"Well, you are sure to do that," the cat answers.

 

We are all sure to arrive somewhere. That destination is determined the moment we choose the path. Many people seem to believe that you can follow one road all of your life and then arrive at a different destination. That is impossible. We cannot travel the broad road and reach the destination of life, any more than we can travel the narrow road and reach the destination of death.

 

You may have chosen your destination and decided you want to go to heaven someday. But have you chosen to walk the road that leads to heaven?
