YOU CAN'T IGNORE GOD'S LAWS

 

You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed (Ps. 119:4 NIV).

 

A man went deep-sea fishing with his employer. As they were making their way back toward shore late that night, the employer grew weary and decided to get some sleep. He turned the helm of the boat over to the employee, pointed out the North Star and said, "Keep your eye on that star and steer a straight course by it."

 

No sooner had the ship’s owner fallen asleep, than the employee did, too. In a little while he woke up, looked for the bright star but couldn't find it. Trying to steer the boat, he was totally confused. Finally he shook his boss awake

 

"You'll have to show me another star," he said. "We've already sailed clear past that one."

 

Many people in our sophisticated, educated, advanced society feel that they have run past the law of God. The result is confusion, discouragement and despair. Searching desperately for life, they have ignored the law of life.

 

But you can no more bypass the law of God and find life, than you can get beyond the North Star. Albert Einstein didn't need to recite the multiplication tables every morning in order to check out his formulas, but neither could he ignore the fact that two times two equals four.
