Recognizing our creator and helper

 

오늘의 묵상 (시121:1~8)

 

 

1. 내가 눈을 들어 산들을 바라봅니다. 나의 도움이 어디에서 옵니까?

 

2. 나의 도움은 여호와로부터 옵니다. 하늘과 땅을 만드신 그분으로부터 옵니다.

 

3. 여호와께서 여러분의 발이 미끄러지지 않게 하실 것입니다. 여러분을 지켜 주시는 그분은 졸지 않으십니다.

 

4. 정말로 이스라엘을 지켜 주시는 그분은 졸지도 주무시지도 않습니다.

 

5. 여호와는 여러분을 지켜 주십니다. 여호와는 여러분의 오른편에 있는 그늘입니다.

 

6. 낮에 태양이 여러분을 해하지 못하며, 밤에 달이 여러분을 해하지 못할 것입니다.

 

7. 여호와는 여러분을 모든 재앙으로부터 지켜 주십니다. 그분은 여러분의 생명을 보호하십니다.

 

8. 여호와는 여러분의 들고 나는 것을 지금부터 영원토록 지키십니다.

 

 

 

 

 

RECOGNIZING OUR CREATOR AND HELPER

 

 

I lift up my eyes to the hills. . . (Ps. 121:1)

 

    

When I moved to the mountains several years ago, it was so awesome to see these beautiful creations of God every day. As the weeks, months, and years have passed, I never take for granted the wonder of His creation. Even my grandchildren get excited when we turn on to Scenic Highway 11, and the mountains appear into view. They exclaim, “Look! There's Granny's mountains!” I have to correct them on whose mountains they are, but you get the picture of their amazement.

    

We know how much the Lord helps us and provides us with so many blessings. But do we acknowledge those blessings and appreciate them? Or, do we take them for granted and miss the opportunity to express gratitude for all He's given? There are so many wonders of God's creation to appreciate—the fabulous sunrises and sunsets, the oceans with their magnificent beaches, beautiful foliage and amazing animals. If we lift up our eyes to see, God has provided many sights to appreciate. We can be reminded of His greatness each time we behold His handiwork.
