예레미야 23:3~6 (쉬운성경, NASB)

 

3. 내가 내 백성을 여러 나라로 쫓아 버렸으나 살아남은 내 백성을 다시 그들의 땅으로 모아들이겠다. 그들은 자기 땅으로 돌아와 자녀를 낳고 번성할 것이다.

Then I Myself will gather the remnant of My flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and bring them back to their pasture, and they will be fruitful and multiply.

 

4.  내가 내 백성 위에 새 지도자들을 세워 내 백성을 돌보게 할 것이다. 그들이 다시는 두려워하거나 무서워하지 않을 것이며 하나라도 잃어 버리는 사람이 없을 것이다. 나 여호와의 말이다." 

"I will also raise up shepherds over them and they will tend them; and they will not be afraid any longer, nor be terrified, nor will any be missing," declares the LORD.

 

5. "보아라. 그 날이 오고 있다. 나 여호와의 말이다. 그 날이 오면 내가 다윗의 집에서 의로운 가지를 일으킬 것이다. 그는 왕이 되어 지혜롭게 다스릴 것이며, 이 땅에서 옳고 바른 일을 할 것이다. 

 "Behold, the days are coming," declares the LORD, "When I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; And He will reign as king and act wisely And do justice and righteousness in the land.

 

6. 그 때가 되면 유다는 구원을 받고, 이스라엘은 평안히 살 수 있을 것이다. 그의 이름은 '여호와는 우리의 의'라고 불릴 것이다. 

"In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell securely; And this is His name by which He will be called, 'The LORD our righteousness.' 

 

 

MANDI WAS AFRAID, but her husband, Brannon, was terrified. Mandi had passed out and Brannon was unable to wake her up. Mandi, Brannon, and their three-year-old son, Joseph, were violently ill with the flu. But their sixteen-month-old son was oblivious. Even when the ambulance came to take them to the hospital, Carston just giggled and smiled as the paramedics rushed about. He wasn't afraid. In Jeremiah 23, God promised the Israelites they wouldn't be afraid anymore. Wicked men had lied to the people and scattered them instead of caring for them. In response, God said He would put people in place to care for the Israelites, shepherds to tend to them so that they wouldn't be afraid or terrified. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be like little Carston, surrounded by turmoil yet unafraid? We're human, so most likely we're going to be afraid and terrified at some point. But we can remember this: The same God who took care of the Israelites in the midst of their turmoil takes care of us today. God provided men (shepherds) to care for the Israelites. God has provided us with the Holy Spirit. In your moments of fear and trepidation, allow God to take the reins of your emotions. He has the game plan. He knows the path. The Holy Spirit is with you to guide and comfort you in the midst of the turmoil.
