하나님의 궁극적인 계획(GOD’S ULTIMATE PLAN)

 창세기의 마지막 부분에서 하나님은 작고 보잘것없는 한 민족을 택하셔서 열방들을 교육하는 나라로 삼으셨습니다. 그분은 한 민족을 일으켜 자신의 선함을 이방에 드러내는 살아있는 본보기로 만들고자 하셨습니다. 그러한 증거를 삼기 위하여 하나님은 자신의 백성을 그들 스스로는 아무것도 통제할 수 없는 장소들로 이끌어가셨습니다. 그분 자신만이 유일한 생명의 원천이요 그들의 모든 필요를 돌보아 주실 수 있는 광야에 이스라엘을 고립시키셨습니다.

그 황폐한 곳에서 이스라엘은 그들의 생존에 대해 전혀 통제 할 수 없었습니다. 식량이나 물을 조달하는 것도 통제 불능이었습니다. 나침반도 없고 지도도 없었으므로 그들의 목적지를 설정할 수도 없었습니다. 그들이 어떻게 먹고 마실 것입니까? 어느 방향으로 행진할 것입니까? 어느 곳에 도착할 것입니까?

하나님이 그들을 위하여 그 모든 것을 하실 것입니다. 밤에는 빛을 발하며 어둠을 그들 앞에서 흩어버리는 기적의 구름으로 매일 그들을 인도하실 것입니다. 하늘에서 내린 천사의 음식으로 그들을 먹이시고 반석에서 물을 내실 것입니다. 그렇습니다. 개개의 모든 필요를 주님이 공급하시고 어느 대적도 그들을 이길 수 없을 것입니다.

“여호와께서 너를 교훈하시려고 하늘에서부터 그의 음성을 네게 듣게 하시며”(신4:36). 하나님의 백성들은 그분이 인도하시는 그 말씀을 듣고 이렇게 증언할 것입니다. “모든 인류들 중에 살아계신 하나님의 음성을 들은 자가 누구인가?”(4:32-34참조)

고대 이스라엘을 둘러싸고 있던 나라들은 나무나 은, 금으로 만든 우상들, 즉 다른 신들로 꽉 차있었습니다. 이 신들은 벙어리이고 듣지도 못하고 자신을 섬기는 사람들을 사랑하거나 인도하거나 보호할 수 없었습니다. 그렇지만 이들 나라들은 이스라엘에 눈을 돌리고 하나님이 보호하여 무서운 광야를 통과케 하신 이 특별한 민족을 볼 수 있었습니다. 그들은 자신의 백성에게 말씀하시고, 사랑하시고, 감정을 느끼시고, 기도에 응답하시고 기적을 베푸시는 하나님을 볼 것입니다. 여기 자기 백성의 모든 삶의 세세한 부분에 이르기까지 인도하시는 살아계신 하나님이 계셨습니다.

하나님은 자신이 훈련하실 백성을 일으키셨습니다. 그분의 권위에 복종하여 살고 그분을 전적으로 신뢰하고 삶의 모든 분야에서 전적으로 그분에게 통치권을 내어드리는 그러한 백성이 있어야만 했습니다. 이러한 백성이 세상에 대해 그분을 증거하게 될것입니다.

하나님은 왜 한 백성에 대해 완전한 통치권을 원하시고 모든 경우에 그들의 완벽한 신뢰를 요구하실까요? 그것은 오직 하나님만이 그들의 갈 길을 아시고, 목적지에 이르기 위해 필요한 기적들을 행하실 것이기 때문입니다.

 

 

By the close of the book of Genesis, God had chosen a small, insignificant people to become a teaching nation. He wanted to raise up a people who would be living examples of his goodness to the heathen world. So, to bring about such a testimony, God took his people into places that were beyond their control. He isolated Israel in a wilderness, where he alone would be their only source of life, caring for their every need.Israel had no control over their survival in that desolate place. They couldn’t control the availability of food or water. They couldn’t control their destination, as they had no compasses or maps. How would they eat and drink? Which direction would they go? And where would they end up?

God would do it all for them. He would guide them every day by a miracle cloud, one that glowed at night and dispelled the darkness before them. He would feed them with angels’ food from heaven and provide them with water from a rock. Yes, every single need would be supplied by the Lord, and no enemy would be able to defeat them.

“Out of heaven he made thee [Israel] to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee” (Deuteronomy 4:36). God’s people would hear his very words guiding them, and in turn they would testify, “Who is there of all mankind who has heard the voice of the living God?” (see 4:32-34).

The nations surrounding ancient Israel were filled with “other gods,” idols made of wood, silver and gold. These gods were mute, unable to see or hear, unable to love, guide or protect the people who worshipped them. Yet any one of the nations could look to Israel and see a special people whom God carried through a terrible wilderness. They would see a God who spoke to his people, who loved and felt, who answered prayers and provided miracles. Here was a living God, one who guided his people in every detail of their lives.

God raised up a people who would be trained by him. There had to be a people who lived under his authority, who would trust him completely, giving him full control of every aspect of their lives. That people would become his testimony to the world.

Why would God want full control of a people and insist on their complete trust at all times? It was because only God knew the way and he would perform the impossible that was needed to get them there.

 

 

到了创世记的结尾，神拣选了一批人数稀少，微不足道的百姓作为一个教导世人的国家。祂要兴起一批子民，好让他们能向那信奉异教的世人活出蒙受衪恩惠的例证。於是，为要带出这样的见证，神便把衪的百姓领到他们所无法应付的地方去。祂在旷野里把他们隔离起来；在那里，衪成为了他们生活中惟一的供应，按照他们的需要一一照应他们。在那荒僻的地方，以色列民在生存方面已经全然失控。他们无法掌控粮水的供应。由於他们缺乏罗盘和地图，他们无法掌控自己的去向。他们要如何维生？他们要往那个方向走？他们的结局又是如何呢？

神会为他们成就一切。祂会以神奇的云彩天天引领他们；那云彩会在晚上发光，驱散他们前面的黑暗。衪会从天降下天使的粮来餵养他们，又从磐石为他们供水。是的，他们的需要，神都会一一供应，而且没有敌人能够打败他们。

「衪从天上使你听见衪的声音，为要教训你。」(申4：36) 神的百姓会听见祂亲口所说的话，蒙衪引领。继而，他们会见证说：「在人类当中，有谁听过永生 神的声音？」(参看4：32-34)

古时候，以色列周围的国家都充塞著「别的诸神」，即金银木头所造的种种偶像。这些神既聋哑，又眼瞎；对於那些膜拜牠们的人，牠们无法怜爱，引导、或护庇。然而，他们中任何一国都可以从以色列身上看见一批特殊的百姓；他们在那可怕的旷野里一路蒙 神保抱。他们会看到一位与子民说话的 神，衪爱惜他们，知道他们的感受，答覆他们的祷告，并向他们施行神蹟。这是一位活生生的 神，祂在子民生命中的每一个细节，都作引导。

神兴起了一批蒙祂培训的百姓。这些百姓必须活在衪的权柄之下；全然信靠祂；在生命的每一方面都让祂全然掌控。这群子民会在世人面前成为祂的见证。

为什麽 神要全然掌管一群百姓，且坚持要他们时时信靠？因为惟独 神晓得前路，祂且会施行所需的神蹟，把他们领到那里去。
