The peace jesus gives

THE PEACE JESUS GIVES

 

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace
(John 16:33 KJV).

 

Some years ago, a machine was invented to promote sleep, relaxation and concentration. Screening out noises and controlling tones from bass to treble, it simulates "white sound." It is capable of filtering out unwanted noises, producing single breaking wave patterns, random surf effects, and rain in either light or gentle downpour. It can even simulate a waterfall.

 

No doubt such a machine would bring soothing comfort to some people. But no amount of external sound conditioning can bring peace to a troubled heart. Someone who is filled with anxiety, tension, guilt, fear or any of the disturbing emotions that keep us on edge, needs the peace of God that passes all understanding.

 

When you have peace with God, you can have the peace of God. Then you can live at peace with your fellow men.

 

All the peace treaties signed by men, all the weapons bans cannot remove bitterness and hatred from people's hearts. Wars between nations are caused by the same evil attitudes that cause bickering between neighbors and among family members. only Jesus can give peace.
