No "IF" about it

NO "IF" ABOUT IT

 

If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins
(1 Cor. 15:17 NIV).

 

Some time ago, a society of atheists in London commissioned two lawyers to prove that the resurrection of Jesus Christ never took place, that it was a hoax or a scheme concocted by His followers. After a period of investigation, the lawyers gave their report, saying, "We have proven to our satisfaction beyond doubt, that Jesus Christ did rise from the dead. Furthermore, we have accepted Him as our personal Lord and Savior and urge you to do likewise."

 

If Christ did not rise from the dead . . . that is the most important IF in the world. The entire superstructure of Christianity rests upon it. That is why men have tried down through the centuries to discredit the truth about the Resurrection.

 

Each person must reach the personal decision that was made by the two lawyers who investigated the Resurrection. Either Christ did rise or He didn't. If He did, everything else He claimed can be believed. He is the Son of God and has power over death and hell. We can pin our hope and our eternal souls on His promise of eternal life.

 

"If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable" (1 Cor. 15:19 KJV). There is no "if" about it. He did rise from the dead and our hope in Christ makes us joyful!
